(Click for larger view) Password Vault
Password Vault: A surprisingly handy little application.
Note: Requires MS Access 2000 or above
Everybody wants a username and password these days.
I created Password Vault for my own use. As a secure database to hold all of my passwords and to provide a search function to find them quickly. I added a random character generator to produce strong passwords easily. It has proved to be so convenient that I have decided to share it with you.
Password Vault stores passwords and their security questions. It includes a search form to quickly retrieve passwords. It contains a configurable random character generator to create passwords. Retrieved or created passwords can be copied to the Windows clipboard and pasted into other applications. And it is secured with a Microsoft Access database password which uses Windows 128 bit encryption so it is as secure as any file on your computer.
Click here to install Password Vault then click “Open” or “Run” depending on your browser.
Or if your computer is having a bad hair day, open the CD in Windows Explorer and double click the “Setup.exe” file.
The installer will install the Password Vault and the help files. It will place a shortcut on your desktop and in the Programs folder under the Start menu. It will also register itself in the Registry. No other changes or additions will be made to your computer.
You can uninstall Password Vault through Windows Add and Remove programs or you can rerun the installer and select the “Remove” option. All files, folders, shortcuts, and registry entries will be removed.
